| I am 44 years old and have spent almost 20 years working with children in several capacities, the last 10 years as a stay-home dad for my two children. Emerging from a difficult period in my life, I discovered WCOM through the show “Readings” founded by Joy Javits and Joe DeLuca. I listened and found that it was somewhat similar to some volunteer work I do with a group of disabled and senior folks in Hillsborough. One thing led to another after I contacted Joy and she invited me to participate on Oct. 1, 2007. We both enjoyed what I brought to the show and she soon informed me of her intent to go on hiatus, and essentially "gave" me her show. I later added “Good Morning Moon”, a corollary readings show for children and “The Big Cat News,” a local high school and community sports show. I currently work as a chess teacher and also as a part-time home companion. |
